Also, I&#8217;ve changed the title from &#8220;Anchor Works Chisels&#8221; to &#8220;Anchorworks Chisels&#8221; because I believe that &#8220;Anchorworks&#8221; is the correct name.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Anchorworks chisels were a brand of Jernbolaget chisels made for export markets.<\/p>\n<p>They are found mostly in\u00a0 Australia and New Zealand and are not as common as the standard Jernbolaget chisels, although they both share the Jernbolaget &#8216;Crown, Anchor, and E&#8217; trademark stamp on their blade.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve seem tang and socket versions of Anchorworks bench-style beveled chisels, plus an Anchorworks flat-sided firmer chisel.<\/p>\n<p>The chisel on the top below is a birch-handled Anchorworks chisel. (The one below it is a beech-handled Toledo, also Swedish-made.) The birch handle on the Anchorworks looks original, although the chisel is well-worn and the top has been pounded down until the hoop had to be removed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rarebit.com\/old_tools\/wp-content\/uploads\/Anchor-Works-Chisels-550px2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rarebit.com\/old_tools\/wp-content\/uploads\/Anchor-Works-Chisels-550px2.jpg\" alt=\"Anchor Works Chisels 550px2\" width=\"550\" height=\"344\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rarebit.com\/old_tools\/wp-content\/uploads\/Anchor-Works-Chisels-550px4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rarebit.com\/old_tools\/wp-content\/uploads\/Anchor-Works-Chisels-550px4.jpg\" alt=\"Anchor Works Chisels 550px4\" width=\"550\" height=\"412\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rarebit.com\/old_tools\/wp-content\/uploads\/Anchor-Works-Chisels-550px3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rarebit.com\/old_tools\/wp-content\/uploads\/Anchor-Works-Chisels-550px3.jpg\" alt=\"Anchor Works Chisels 550px3\" width=\"550\" height=\"413\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The blade stamp reads: &#8220;THE ANCHORWORKS Co\u00a0 |\u00a0 ESKILSTUNA SWEDEN&#8221;. The handle is not the typical Jernbolaget birch handle and was likely added by it&#8217;s owner.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rarebit.com\/old_tools\/wp-content\/uploads\/Anchor-Works-Chisels-550px5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rarebit.com\/old_tools\/wp-content\/uploads\/Anchor-Works-Chisels-550px5.jpg\" alt=\"Anchor Works Chisels 550px5\" width=\"550\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Another look at the Anchorworks blade stamp.
